A brief history of the Suicide Kings
Puck and |2|
met during the Quake (1) days, before Quakeworld was out to rescue
HPBs from one second delays in movement. Fierce competition turned
into friendship and then a working relationship. Over time, we
got new games and both became proficient in mowing down our enemies.
|2| has always been better at the "twitch-fight" while Puck is a
more strategic player.
After a while, we grew bored of simple deathmatch games and
started playing team-modifications like LMCTF for Quake II.
When Starsiege: Tribes hit the stores, Puck ran out and bought it,
despite the extreme lack of hype for the game. Two days later,
he bought a second copy and gave it to |2| to force him to realize
how great this game is. The game's balance is spectacular, and
their playtesters deserve a huge round of applause for not pushing
the game towards an overpowered, non-fun game. (Note: This
is why we have a distaste for most of the Tribes Mods, like
Renegades - they can be fun for a while, but the weapons are
outrageous)
We found ourselves being offered positions in Tribes, but always
felt we'd start our own, and finally did. We wanted a name
that was fun and not just something cool with the word "Killah" in
it, and finally decided on Suicide Kings because of our blatant
disregard for kill/death ratios when playing. Getting the
flag is all that's important!
Our Tribe only has three official members right now, with several
who will join once we've run them through their initiations. |

I want to join!
Ah, you've noticed that we don't have a "join" button.
There's a reason for that - Suicide Kings is a tribe of friends, in
the same geographic area. We will be adding new members, but
it will be invite only |

We challenge you!
Sure, that'd be fun sometime, though it might have to wait for a
while. If you'd like to catch us in a game, just look for
}SK{ in your buddy list in Tribes or Counterstrike, or join
our server! |
