Blink

Doctor Who - Blink
Just got finished watching the latest Doctor Who episode, “Blink”, and as soon as I saw “by Steven Moffat” I knew it would be good.  His previous Doctor Who Episodes are all excellent – ”The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances” and “The Girl In The Fireplace” — and oh boy this one did not dissappoint!

It was a very non-standard Doctor episode — it actually had very little Doctor to it, and the menace was subtle and utterly creepy.  It also feels like it would be a great episode for anyone who had never really seen Doctor Who before.  It really stands on its own as an great time-traveller and monsters story, Doctor or no.

Definitely the best episode this season!

That was a very spooky and awesome episode. One of the best of the last three seasons.

I’m counting on you to one day let me know which episodes are worth watching, as I haven’t seen an episode of Who since the second season. I can’t be bothered to slog through the chaff.

Well, unlike Torchwood they’re all worth watching, even the “chaff”. But sure, if you must skip out on some, I can do that.

Well, I downloaded the episode ‘Blink’ and I have to say, WOW. I really enjoyed it. I never got into the new stuff (1st season), but, this was a great episode.

Have you seen any others? Do you enjoy the new show?

I’m a long-time Who fan, since back in the Tom Baker days, so I’m pretty biased, but I love the new Doctor Who.

Some episodes are certainly better than others, but even the “not great” episodes are worth watching. There are very few that I actively dislike, unlike the previously noted Doctor Who spinoff “Torchwood” which failed miserably in all but one episode.

Then there are the diamonds, like all the Stephen Moffat episodes, which can all stand alone as premium quality sci-fi/drama.
