Ok, it’s not quite space, but he’s weightless

I’m so happy they offered it to him and not some movie star.  Hawking deserves whatever happiness he can get in his life.

For those not familiar with his condition, he was diagnosed with ALS at age 21 and was told that he’d have two to three years left to live, maximum.

He’s now 66 years old, outliving that prediction by 40 years, and doing some of the most incredible advancements in our knowledge of the way the Universe works that we’ve ever seen.  He’s not just brilliant, he obviously has a will of iron.
