It’s not just the accents, it’s the settings and sensibilities. Red Dwarf goes on about lager and curry and makes distinctively British jokes.

BSG and other American sci-fi shows are quite gun-centric and typically have very American military slants to them.

We need something like “Corner Gas In Space”.

I’m up for that (and have a digital camcorder), but Canadians aren’t all THAT different from Americans, except for the lack of easy guns.

You can tell a show is British because of the accents. I guess someone non-Canadian would also be able to tell a Canadian production for the same reason, but to us we’d just be talking normally.
