Martin Freeman (”Tim” from the BBC Comedy “The Office”) as Arthur Dent
Sam Rockwell (the bad guy from the first Charlie’s Angels movie, as well as the security officer “Guy Fleegman” on Galaxy Quest — the guy is a CHAMELEON) as Zaphod Beeblebrox
Mos Def as Ford Prefect. I thought he was excellent in The Italian Job, so I’m all for this choice.
Zooey Deschanel as Trillian. Again, a great choice.
Warwick Davis as Marvin the Paranoid Android. Talk about going the complete opposite direction for voices for that one. But I can see how it’d work out great.

John FUCKING Malkovich as Humma Kavula! Humma is a religious cult leader character created by Douglas Adams specifically for the film. Seems DA wanted each iteration of the story to be different, so he added more to the script he wrote for the movie. From some searching online, I believe he’s a cultist of The Great Green Arkleseizure, who created the Universe by sneezing out of his nose. His followers all live in fear of what they call “The Coming of the Great White Handkerchief” and are small blue creatures with more than fifty arms each, who are therefore unique in being the only race in history to have invented the aerosol deodorant before the wheel.

To say that I’m excited about this is an understatement.
