An Open Letter To George Lucas

Dear Mr. Lucas,

I’m happy to hear you’re finally releasing the original Star Wars trilogy to DVD on September 21st of this year. As both a Star Wars fan and collector of DVDs this is a must-buy for me.

Unlike many, I didn’t mind most of the changes for the “Special Edition movies”. However, you must listen to me when I say this:

If Greedo still shoots first, I will not be buying this set and I will encourage others to boycott it, and instead to purchase one of the many fine pirated DVD copies of the the original Laserdisc releases.

Thank you for your time.

nerds of the world unite and take over!

i think we should make conspiratorial type tshirts using the picture of the jack ruby assassination of lee harvey oswald. only han is jack ruby and greedo is lee harvey.

Hm…according to the most recent webcam picture, this posting is a lie!

Well, he sped up Han’s shooting so it’s pretty much simultaenous. That Greedo even shoots at all is still unforgivable but the rest of this set is so excellent, especially the video and sound quality that I really couldn’t resist (note the quote on the webcam image, too)

Lucas is still a bastard for letting Greedo shoot Han at point blank range and miss, and his reasons are either weak or incredible lies.
