Meh, I could have gone without the 2 sequels completely and the Matrix would have been the exact same to me, to be honest. I don’t think that the Wachowski’s had that much to say, if anything. A bunch of thinly veiled relious references in license plates and stuff do not a deep concept make.

Plus, seeing as though the sequels were unplanned, and then they acted as though everything ‘laid out’ in the original was totally purposeful, but really, just built around what they’d already done, (a ‘la the Oracle in Revolutions) it seemed like some of it was still kinda tacky in presentation.

You got it, you just don’t care.

It’s not my fault you’re a heartless wench who doesn’t care about asking great questions about choice and fate and predestination, and choosing love over logic.

I hereby amend my statement: Most people who didn’t like it didn’t “get” the Architect speech. There are a rare few that didn’t like it who got it, but have no soul.

Just because not everyone liked it, doesn’t mean they just didn’t “get” it. I thought it sucked ass and I understood everything that got said. It did make me think, but what I thought was, “this is pretty weak.” Just because you use big words, doesn’t mean the concept is deep. I resent your implication that anyone who didn’t like it just couldn’t understand it.
