And I’m not talking temperature here, folks:
The news from Canada is just a little disorienting — no, shocking — for Americans. Depending on your view, isn’t America supposed to be the cradle of the coolest, most cutting-edge culture? Didn’t we invent civil rights? Alternatively, if such so-called cool culture is corrupt and these “rights” wrong, at least by golly we’re supposed to get to Hell first.
Now Canada is leading the way.
And America is looking fussy, Victorian and imperial.
Heard on CNN:
“And Wolf, if I could make just one more comment. I’ve been watching CNN here and I keep hearing about the decision with the Supreme Court with the homosexual ruling, and I just want to say that I think it’s a beautiful thing because, if you really think about it, the more gay men there are in the world, that just leaves more chicks for me and you.”
Y’know, I’ve been saying this for *years*.
