there is an option in mozilla which when turned on will not allow a website to change the size of your window.

Ok you’re bitching and complaining about other websites. Before you do that, I suggest taking a look at your own. Never in my life have I seen such dull and mundane set of websites in my life. Nice work of pre-made templates, you’re creativity oozes through them all.

Hey everyone, check out that last comment. It’s obviously from the webmaster of a site that resizes and repositions your browser. I bitched them out about a half-hour ago via email, and included my Blog’s URL in my .sig.
Nice to see there are webmasters out there that can’t figure out the difference between “you’re” and “your” and have to resort to anonymous insults to make themselves feel better.
Stop your bitching and go back to reading your kiddie book. If you haven’t noticed some of the best websites are javascript. Oh wait you probably haven’t because oh gosh darnit they resized your browser.
If you don’t like a page, very simple… don’t go back. Your page is far from being worth bragging about.
Hey, I use javascript.
I don’t use it to fuck with my visitor’s settings. That’s tantamount to turning the lights in their room on or off. It’s NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
And as for your site, I thought it was pretty good, with the exception of the totally lame and TOTALLY UNNECESSARY window resizing. Oh, and the use of Frames. Pardon me for trying to help out what I had hoped to be a fellow professional by cluing him into one of the biggest pet-peeves out on the Internet today, third in my books to spam and popup advertising.
It’s not my fault you run your machine at 800×600 and *need* your browser window maximized when you go to a site you design. Maybe if you *need* it maximized you could, oh, I don’t know, MAXIMIZE IT YOURSELF.
Me, I’m running at 1920×1440 and when your dumbfuck javascript resizes my window, you’re tripling the width of it.
Get a little more professionalism in your attitude, and maybe take some constructive criticism.
I told you I wouldn’t be returning to your site because of the window resizing. For every one person that emails you like that, there are probaby a thousand that don’t bother and never return. And you gain nothing by adding the resizing javascript.
You do the math, tough guy.
Considering you have to be a member of subkultures.net with a password to view my website, I seriously doubt you’ve been to my webpage.
And if you did have access to my page, I do not use Javascript. Perhaps you have me confused with someone else.
I am going to take my own advice, since you are so full of bad karma and attitude, I won’t come back to this page.

If you believe it is, I am very sorry for you, that you were unfortunate in life to think sending out hostile “constructive criticism” is the right thing to do. Did it make you feel better? Saying stuff like “you ignorant asshats.” if FAR from constructive criticism. I feel very sorry for you. Relax, there are better things to be doing in life than sending out what you consider constructive criticism.

My email, while it may have been a bit strongly worded, did not contain the words “ignorant asshat”. It was as professional as I could make it after visiting a site that:
* Resized my browser to full width and height, despite the site being about 700 pixels wide (btw, that leaves an extra TWELVE HUNDRED AND FORTY pixel-widths of wasted space on my monitor)
* Popped up a *new* (and thoroughly unnecessary) browser window when I finally clicked “ENTER” and resized that to full width and height, again wasting 1200 pixels
* Continued to play the sound from the Flash on the entry page as I browsed the now open window.
My Blog is my personal place where I can spout off on things that piss me off. Your site did that, despite it containing a very hot fetish model with wicked cool tattoos. As for the term “ignorant asshats” I should post a retraction. You’re either one or the other. Either you’re ignorant of the annoyance you’re causing or you’re an asshat doing it on purpose. In my zeal to convey my strong feelings on the subject, I have erred in the accuracy of my name-calling.
Now take that javascript off your site so I can tell everyone “Check this model out, she’s hot!” and send them your URL. Your site would be excellent if you just stopped with the resizing and new browser window script.
