Privacy goes down the tube

Hey America! Remember when you were the land of the free? Well, thanks to corporate interests ruling your courts, you’re not any longer.

A media company, with no proof of infrigement can now demand that an ISP give them your name simply because they SAY they suspect that you are illegally copying files.

This ruling means that it’s open season on ISP customer information, because all a company has to do is CLAIM that someone is infringing.

If this were anything else, that company would talk to the police, convince them, and have the police get a subpoena letting them get access to the files. But thanks to the DMCA and the Republican party’s hatred of personal freedoms, you’re all screwed and you’re now guilty until proven innocent.

Fight for your freedom! Stand up to big business!
