You stupid, stupid bastard.

Here’s a Globe & Mail article about how a Counterstrike player in VANCOUVER was shot AND KILLED by another player.

First off, we’ve got strict gun laws, so what the FUCK?

Second, if you get so angry about getting your ass handed to you in a FUCKING GAME, you’re one of the biggest losers in the world.

This both saddens and angers me.

It makes me want to put on my bat costume and go out hunting.

Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot.

The Ultimate Gaming Table

Wow. Check out The Ultimate Gaming Table and tell me you don’t want something like that.

That has put me in mind to make one. Not quite as involved or huge, as we don’t have the space.

Then again, Mel wants a new bed, and I want to make a cool modular one like this one at Sears. I’m a big pragmatist when it comes to furniture.

Too much to do, never enough time. Or in this case, skill — I’m a total n00b when it comes to woodwork, but I enjoyed building the Chinchilla Cage last year and have been looking for something new to make.

Madness

I wish I could do stuff like this. Well, maybe I could, but I wish I had the time.

Wedding Pictures

I’ve finally got more wedding pictures online. MUCH more, and in a much nicer format, thanks to Gallery, a great PHP gallery program.

Until I installed Gallery, I didn’t realize that digicams stored date/time information as an EXIF tag. Gallery can read the EXIF information and it allowed me to easily sort the photos by date/time, which was great because they came from four different digicams.

You learn something new every day.

New Design

Did some CSS tinkering and came up with something I hate less. One thing I really wanted to move away from was the ubiquitous blue-grey on white look that seems to be everywhere online these days.

I call this colour scheme “Dalai Lama”.

And check out the new DHTML cam-viewer. Thanks to the guys at Dynamic Drive for making that script (and a bunch of others) available.

Design

Y’know, I really should’ve at least sketched out a design for this blog before installing the software. Already I hate it.

Oh well, more work to add to the huge list of things that need finishing now.

First Post!

I’ve finally removed my old personal page in favour of an online weblog. I have no idea how much I’ll be updating this, but it feels like it’s good to have.
