My name is Joe Fulgham, I’m 38, married and am a self-employed web designer/online marketing consultant. I live in Burnaby, BC, Canada with my wonderful wife Melany and our cutest-anything-ever dog Loki.
A lot of people, especially those who met me first online, call me by my nickname “Puck”. This includes many of my clients, and I’m fine with it.
Yes, I created this icon:

which I call “Hobbes Club”. I use it as my SomethingAwful avatar, and pretty much everywhere else that uses one. People ask permission to “steal” it, and there’s not much I can do to stop them, so they might as well.
I’m a fan of good sci-fi and fantasy though more the former than the latter these days. I mourn Firefly’s cancellation on almost a weekly basis, and love the new Battlestar Galactica. I have a pretty massive DVD collection but thanks to DVD publishing pretty much “catching up” so that only last year’s movies are coming out, my purchases have slowed considerably.
I’m an atheist, in the Dawkins/Sagan sense — while you can’t absolutely disprove the existence of God, it’s so almost ufathomably improbable as to be on par with faeries in the garden and the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
I play Texas Hold’Em on the weekends with friends ($10 buy-in) and when the weather’s good I play road-hockey on Saturdays and/or Wednesdays.
I’ve lost about 80 lbs in the past few years. It was a combination of finally realizing how huge I was getting (nearly 260lbs at my heaviest) and changing my (terrible) eating habits and getting more exercise, as well as Medifast for the big “crash diet” to get me down quickly. But now that I’m down, good exercise and eating habits are essential, and I don’t know if Medifast alone teachs that.
I play games, both video and “traditional” games like board games (Settlers of Cataan, Carcassone) and RPGs (Mutants and Masterminds). My current video game of choice is World of Warcraft. I have a Blood Elf Paladin on Velen, as well as a Mage that I duo with my wife’s Hunter. I’m also subscribed to City of Heroes/City of Villains but at the time of this writing I’m taking a break from it. I do loves me the superheroes though. I just picked up Grand Theft Auto IV for the 360 and I’m loving it so far.
