I was going to write an article about “SEO Marketing” that’s been cropping up on the web these days, but Derek Powazek has already done it better than I could, so go read Spammers, Evildoers, and Opportunists.

Which brings us, finally, to the One True Way to get a lot of traffic on the web. It’s pretty simple, and I’m going to give it to you here, for free:

Make something great. Tell people about it. Do it again.

I’d also note that a great many “SEO Marketing Specialists” have taken up that job title after attending a get-rich-quick seminar.  They’ve been fooled just like they’re trying to fool you.
